Record: largest double-acting composite bursting disc in the history of the firm

The 900 DN is the largest double-acting composite bursting disc manufactured by Berstscheiben Schlesinger GmbH in the history of the firm. The bursting disc, made from rustproof stainless steel, is designed for an underpressure of 0.025 bar and an overpressure of 0.125 bar. It is used in the chemical industry.

In order to enhance plant security, the “giant bursting disc” is fitted with a rip wire signal transmitter. If the bursting disc tears open during a breakdown, the existing electrical circuit will be broken. The breakdown will be registered in detail by the head office so that appropriate counter measures can be implemented without delay.
